Cartillage Surgery for Ime

I was following the Zach story through the Columbian blog
http://www.columbian.com/sports/blazerbanter/
而且几乎错过了扎克珍闻上面的故事,
titled"Udoka's sore knee likely will require surgery":

"The sore knee that has kept Ime Udoka out of practice for the the last several weeks
will likely require offseason surgery to fix, Udoka said.

"Doctors discovered a minor tear in the meniscus cartilage of his right knee
two weeks ago when the Blazers had a four-game break . . .
Udoka had been bothered by soreness in the knee since January,
and it grew worse after he bent it backwards [Sunday night against Seattle]."

Dude's just been playing with it, and will continue to do so:
"I'll have to get some work after the season, but it's something
that's not going to get any worse by playing," Udoka said.
"You're just going to have to play through the pain."

What's a sports story without at least one timeworn cliche?
At least he's giving 110%, just taking it one game at a time.
And he and his teammates are on the same page.
Both teams played hard.
