  1. Nookies
  2. Milwaukee Bambis
  3. ATL
  4. Philly's Iggy and the Stooges
  5. Like you didn't know where this was going . . .
"PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS
Reasons for optimism: A good character shooting guard, Brandon Roy,
capable of running an offense as well as leading it on the scoreboard;
an apparently motivated Zach Randolph, who has proven to be
a devastating offensive target in the low post;
a promising rookie big, LaMarcus Aldridge, who has offered plenty of reasons
to believe he's not as soft as we feared at last year's draft;
a promising point guard tandem, Jarrett Jack and Sergio Rodriguez,
who should benefit from the lessons coach Nate McMillan can offer about backcourt play;
and McMillan himself, as he knows how to get a team
into the playoffs and maintain the respect of his players.

"Missing pieces: Maturity -- which should come in time for the league's third-youngest team.
And if Aldridge continues to develop, will the Blazers be better off using him
in tandem with Randolph, or dealing Randolph (and his big salary)?
Ideally, the Blazers will find a way to keep Randolph happy;
they need all the scoring they can get.
None of this will happen, though, until they hire a new GM, hopefully one
savvy enough to not alienate the local media
and shrewd enough to keep adding useful pieces without
breaking too much into owner Paul Allen's big piggy bank.

"Projected breakthrough: 2009-10. Another few draft picks and some internal seasoning
should convince the city to give this team a second chance."

Amen.

He then launches a countdown of the top 10 coaching performances of this season,
and you-know-who just barely squeezes in to start the backward countdown:

"10. Nate McMillan, Trail Blazers
McMillan isn't here because his Blazers have exceeded last year's win total,
but because he's been instrumental in changing the culture surrounding the team.
His no-nonsense approach has coaxed a career year out of Zach Randolph.
While more talent is needed, isn't it nice to be talking
draft strategy in the Rose City instead of legal strategy?"

My favorite movie is "Thirty-Two Short Films About Glenn Gould."
我不确定没有任何讨论there.
