It's the last quiet weekend of the year... let's do some more trivia!
Same rules as last time:
1. No looking up the answers online and answering here!We know you know how to use google. Answer here first, then go look it up afterward to learn the answer.
2. You don't have to answer all the questions, just answer whichever you think you might know. It's all for fun anyway. :)
This is part 2 of the trade trivia. I didn't make these any harder than the last batch (but if I do another, I'll ratchet it up a bit). Let's dig in!
---------
1. In 1984, Portland took a big chance and made a blockbuster trade for Kiki Vandeweghe, transforming the team in the process. To get the deal done, they gave up two draft picks, Fat Lever, Calvin Natt, and a player who would eventually return to the early 90's finals teams.
Q: Name that player, and the team they all went to.
2. Speaking of Calvin Natt, Portland originally gave up a pretty good player to get him. In fact, that player would return to the team twice after the trade.
Q: Who is that frequent Blazer?
3. In 2004, the tear-down of the "Jail Blazers" was in full swing. Many people felt the poster boy for the team was Rasheed Wallace, and everyone was sure he was going to be traded. Portland seemed to get decent value for him, receiving two All-Stars and a young player from the Northwest.
Q. Name the three players Portland received.
4. In 1989, Portland took lemons and made Lemonade. Portland traded Sam Bowie (then considered a bust) for a hard-working power forward, Buck Williams. To complete the trade, Portland gave up the 1989 #12 pick.
Q: Name that guard!
BONUS! The previous player, despite a fairly nondescript career, was beloved by an up-and-coming band. At first, they even named their band after him. Eventually they chose a different name, but their first album's title was a homage to this player.
Q: Name that band and their album!
5. In 1976, Portland unknowingly completed their championship team with the acquisition of Maurice Lucas. But like most major deals, you have to give up something very important. At the time, it was a questionable decision. But don't fret, he'd return to the team later.
Q: Who's this player?
