Not Hinrich, please

He is far from the player he was two years ago. He averaged 16.8 points per game, but dropped to 13.0 the next year and 11.5 this year.

He's shooting .325 in road games this season, averaging under 6 ponts, 4 assists and three rebounds.

On the season, he's a .413 shooter, and not even the reliable free throw shooter you want, a mere .750. At .377 from three, he's not quite the threat you want, although he still makes defenders wary.

And he turns the ball over more than Blake.

To compensate for all of this, he has to be an near All Star level defender, at least. He certainly was two years ago. But is he now?

And at 28 years old, is he just a short term solution until the ideal point guard surfaces here next year or the year after?
