A new crossroad for the Blazers
....It has always been time to move on, even before the injury to Oden....you can never really stand pat in the NBA I have as much compassion as the next guy, but as the story goes...Life Comes At You Hard and Fast....No guarantees.....
Meaningful things, like peoples health, get to the top of the list, like they should be....However, if you look out the window and realize the scope of life in the USA, it's all about survival....And in the USA it's all about finances.....even if you have poor health.
It is sad, that compassion is the only thing that may help mankind, but still gets smothered in greed and literally bought out......
So how does this relate to Blazer basketball?
Well it's a business.... plain and simple......nuff said
it's tough to turn negatives into positives when you are missing the resources to help you get it done....But this team could use this time to build on their character as an NBA team...it's a good opportunity to revisit and take an open look at the problems and pieces that may be missing or simply have just fallen under the table....
It's quite confusing at the moment, but this team needs leadership more than ever right now.....Who is at the forefront? of course, it's Nate McMillan.. not Brandon Roy.....although Roy has carried this team in the past, he will not be able to do it much longer (it simply wears you down and teams will always key on you to make it that much harder year after year)...The future of this team will be highly dependent on the coaching staff.....What do I think of the coaching Staff?...I have an strong opinion and because I brought it up, I guess you could conclude what it is.....
But it is also not important, at what I think, because it will be a recognition of Blazer management that will decide on the future of this team.....right now, it's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road "... They will have find their way to "OZ" without a clear path... will they get lost and never make it? Can they find their way using a different path? Or will they continue to seek the same path, knowing that it may be just be missing too many "bricks" to get them there?
