I don't know about the rest of you, but I have always lovedSteve Blake's game. He created shots for his teammates and knocked down the three-ball with tremendous consistency. I was deeply saddened last year when he was traded (withTravis Outlawalso being traded but that's another show). I had desperately hoped that the Blazers would re-sign him to be the back-up point guard this year and was a little upset that he was signed by theLakers. Nevertheless, I was happy for him that he finally got his payday (I knew the Blazers would never sign him for that much money) and wished him the best.
Now comes the sad part. I didn't care that he shared some "inside" secrects with his new teammates about his old teammates, Camby did that for us last year when he came over. What sickened me about Steve Blake was when he had a 2 on none fast break attempt, withPau Gasoltrailing, and instead of just laying it up off the backboard for an easy two like he had done his whole career for the Blazers, he threw the ball off the backboard to Pau Gasol for an alley-oop dunk (that was pretty :( ).
This chain of events has turned a Steve Blake supporter (this guy) into just another Laker-Hater. I have said many times that I don't hate the Lakers because I respect their talent (no matter the way they came to obtain it) but Steve Blake's lone action on Sunday night converted me into one of the BIGGEST Laker-Haters in Blazer-Land.
Please comment on your thoughts about Steve Blake's actions and if I am justified in losing respect for him.
