OR no trade, and let it play out and let brandon roys knees burn out, Wes mathews play to his potential, and we virtually have the same team with a lot less versatile Roy. It seems to be a number of things. It has always been about who has the big man... Shaq, Walton, hakeem, bird, and obviously MJ didnt have a alltime GREAT big man, but MJ is MJ. Then, in todays game. I feel its the opposite. Who has the Guards. look at Orlando, they have dwight howard as a centerpiece, well great, but us "average" blazers. just beat them. Who is in elite company? the heat, D wade, Lebron, and a skinny post that can shoot and rebound, NOT a bigman. The celtics? Pierce, allen, Garnette, another skinny post who can shoot and rebound. new orleans? chris paul. now, for the one that is the odd one out, the spurs. okay,蒂姆-邓肯, in the running for the top PF of all time, tony parker, a small, just short of elite company guard. Ginobli, every coaches 6th man dream. this right here is a TEAM. Yes, they have veteran savvy and experience, and it does make some difference, but how are they beating every team on a nightly basis without a standout player? they are a team, and they have awesome guards. yes Duncan is a good player, but hes only averaging 13 pts and 9 rbs. so whos doing the work? tony : 16 pts per game, 7 assists. ginobli: 20 points, 4 assists. George hill: right now? only averaging 12 pts. how much against us? 22. hes coming along nicely. the four games before us? 20, 11, 17, 16. those are pretty good for a backup! I guess what im trying to say is.... this is now a guards game, instead of working so hard to get oden to produce, lets get over it. yes, keep pryz. he is a Solid C. we dont need much more if we can get the guards. where from? that is the question i am asking your opinion on.
