Namely: Pritchard hasn't been evaluated yet, the Blazers are still looking for the "right" Assistant GM, Pritchard talks to Owner Paul Allen regularly but hasn't received any word about his future and that Pritchard is simply focused on the draft. Eggers then writes.. ----------------------- Asked if his agent, Warren LeGarie, is searching for a potential landing spot in the event Pritchard is fired, the Blazers’ GM said, "He’d better not be." ----------------------- Also, as a follow-up onthe board position Pritchard recently received at a local tech company, Eggers writes... ----------------------- "A good friend of mine runs the company," Pritchard said. "We had talked about this for a long time. He asked me to join the board. I want to help him. I thought it would be a great thing to do." How much time will it take away from his GM duties with Portland? "Not one minute," he said. ----------------------- It would be great if someone, perhaps, I don't know, maybe another member of the executive staff who has close relationships with both Allen and Pritchard, and a vested interest in making the entire situation and franchise run smoothly so as to avoid these undercutting and distracting headlines day after day, might step in and help mediate what is an obviously unhealthy situation.
