But, without question, he played Aldridge too many minutes multiple times this season, and Aldridge has been lamenting his fatigue for awhile. For now, to me, maintaining the sixth seed at all costs is worth it. I'd take Portland's chances with a diminished (assuming the worst case scenario) Aldridge against the Dallas Mavericks over their chances with a fresh-as-a-Spring-morning Aldridge against the San Antonio Spurs or Los Angeles Lakers.
