Jason Smithof theMemphis Commercial Appeal reportsthat Portland Trail Blazers guard Elliot Williams played in the Bluff City Classic championship game on Thursday, marking his first action in competitive play since 2010 training camp. ------------------ Williams showed off a beefed up upper body and -- judging from his several gravity-defying dunks -- looked fully recovered from the pair of knee surgeries that sidelined him for all of last season. "I haven't played a game like this in a while -- since the preseason (last year), going 5-on-5 with referees," Williams said. "It felt good. I've been getting stronger working out with (Tigers strength and conditioning coach) Frank (Matrisciano) and (local trainer) Scotty (Mason)."
