I don't know if it was discussed here or not (came out in early 2012) so I apologize if you have already disected it. It's about basketball, but so much more. The subtitle explains it all. The owner of the team was a fanatic - and oh so hands on. He wanted an NBA coach, but wouldn't let him coach NBA style. Even though there were association rules against it he'd sit on the bench (sometimes with his mistress). The refs are easily bribed; the areas would be foggy with cigarette smoke till they moved smoking to the concourse - which didn't help much. And in the middle of this comes our ownBonzi Wells. Speaking of culture clash! But it's the sidelights - why the teams are in small markets, for example - that are fascinating. And all the time I was thinking about David Stern and his wanting a league in China. (Which also is part of the story) - it seems to me that he knew absolutely nothing about the CBA (government run) and it was an idea (based on money money money) that was doomed from day 1.
