what we see is what we get....or cautious optimism

After watching the first 2 games of the season I come away unsurprised at the overall team performance. What I see from this version of the Blazers is a fun, but maddening season to come. As we watch Lillard and the rest of the rooks develop, and younger players (Batum, Wes) grow into their roles we should get used to what we've seen and from them and then some. Like any young team they are going to beat some teams they have no business beating due to a "what do we have to lose" attitude and a desire to accumulate the mythical "respect". on the flipside they will also lose games they should win against some of the league bottom feeders. I see a lot of fast starts and lost leads against the San Antonios and OKCs and some blowouts at the hands of theKingsandRaptorsof the world. This is going to be a year of growth, bonding and most of all eduation. The fun is going to come in watching what happens night to night. The most important thing I've seen in the first 2 games revolves around Lillard. It seems like everyone on the floor with him is affected by his fearlessness and matches it. Shooters pull the trigger when last year they hesitated, guys stick their noses in there on defense and try to make plays and it just looks like they're having fun. All in all, I honestly have no expectation for this season other than to enjoy it on a game by game basis and not get too wound up in wins and losses, mainly because I don't know what to expect. Could play to 40 wins, but could be 15 wins with one injury. Just enjoy the ride
