Looks like Neil Olshey and the Blazers are about ready to kick their coaching search up a notch. NBA-types will be congregating in Las Vegas, so that is perfect timing for interviews.

菲尔-杰克逊,Jerry Sloan, Mike D'Antoni, and the Van Gundys do not appear to be options right now. These are some of the top names that I have heard recently could be candidates. Let me know if I am missing anyone.

Kaleb Canales-

The incumbent and "in-house favorite". Young and fairly inexperienced, but well-liked, especially by the players.

Brian Shaw-

Longtime L*kers' assistant and Phil Jackson protege. Now lead assistant coach for thePacers. Seems to be the first name to come up with every coaching vacancy.

Michael Malone-

Golden State Warriorsassistant coach. He was previously the lead assistant in New Orleans, and coached in Cleveland, New York, and in college before that. Voted as the best assistant coach by NBA GMs.

Mike Budenholzer-

Has spent 16 years as an assistant coach for a team that has experienced a success or two in San Antonio. I personally think Popovich is the best coach in the NBA, and Budenholzer has been his lead assistant for five years. That has to say something.

David Joerger-

An assistant coach for theGrizzlies. Blazers got permission to interview. This is a pretty new name to me, I know he had a lot of success coaching semi-pro like the D-League before becoming an assistant. I think he is a defensive specialist but I am not sure on that one.

I am curious to see what BlazersEdge nation thinks. What are your opinions?
