It appears that the blazers will most likely end up with the 12th pick and that's good because they really need it. As
some people have stated it is better to get the 12th pick this draft and give it up next year to Charlotte then get the 20th
pick next year (even in a deep draft there's less of a chance that that pick will work out). Most likely to fall in the #12-14
are the following players:
1. CJ McCollum pg/sg
my personal favorite. I see CJ as our sixth man of the future that can play both point guard and shooting guard. As much as the offense has improved with dame at sg and maynor at point. I garantee it will be better with dame at sg and CJ at point. The kid averaged over 19 points before he broke his foot, but that injury is probably the only reason he could possible drop to #12. CJ is also a 4 year college player and seeing how that has worked out lately im confident that he can come in and average at least 10 ppg and 3 asp of the bench.
2.Kelly olynyk C
Another offensive minded center with defensive inefficiencies. I feel like we have that covered with Leonard. However, he can really score and might be a risk some would want to take.
3. Glenn Robinson 3 SF
After Batum we only have Claver as a viable backup so it wouldn't be a bad idea to stack up on some small forwards. Glen Robinson the third is incredibly effective of the ball, scoring on cuts, slashes and spot-up opportunities behind the arc. However, his offense is very inefficient and he could really improve his jumper and his defense is suspect at times. Still, he has major upside.
What do you think? should we take any of these players? or someone else?
