Final: Warriors Pound the Blazers, 125-98

The Blazers were led by... wait, am I reading that box score right? Yes, replacement center Meyers Leonard (22 points, 10 rebounds) led the Blazers tonight, with support from Wesley Matthews (18 points), Damian Lillard (16 points, 8 assists) and JJ Hickson (15 points, 10 rebounds). Stephen Curry had a huge night for the Warriors, with 39 points.

First Quarter:漂亮的start for the Blazers, as they jumped out to an 8 point lead behind some nice plays by Lillard. But when you play the Warriors, you know that lead is nothing. And indeed, within 4 minutes, the game was tied, thanks to Curry's perfect shooting, and a few easy layups. Thanks to 73% shooting, they took a 5 point lead after one.Score: Warriors 36, Blazers 31

Second Quarter:The Warriors finished a 10 point run to take a 9 point lead, as their defense shut down the Blazers bench. Somehow, some way (Blazer free throws), the lead didn't budge much for 6 minutes. The Warriors finally went cold for a few minutes, letting the Blazers close to within 6 points. Seconds later, the lead was 10 again, and it stayed there at halftime.Score: Warriors 65, Blazers 55.

Haha totally forgot they had Biedrins. Bet they wish they could take that contract back.

Third Quarter:The Blazers couldn't buy a bucket to start the quarter, and the Warriors started pulling away. Matthews kept the game close by posting up Klay Thompson, but the Warriors adjusted and slammed their collective foot on the accelerator. A three-pointer on the break pushed the lead to 20, busting the game wide open. Luke Babbitt valiantly fought back, but he could not withstand the tide.Score: Warriors 96, Blazers 78.

I’ll take 7/11 from our 20 year old rookie center. This kid can score. IF he can become just an average defender, we have something here.

Fourth Quarter:The highlight of the quarter was the first career double-double for Leonard, immediately followed by his first three-pointer, a monster dunk and yes, another monster dunk. Otherwise, Golden State dominated, so let's call it a night. They may not have won either way, but it's very obvious how much the team misses Aldridge.
