Here is a hypothetical that significantly boosts our playoff chances..

Trade

-#10 and #45 for Gortat and #30

This takes our cap space from 11.6+1.9 (from trading #10) = 13.5 million – 7.7 (Gortats salary) - 0.85 million (#30 pick value) = 4.95 million

-Now, in a salary dumping effort, we tradeJoel Freelandand his 2.9 million along with a 2nd round draft pick (#40) to clear more cap space.

Cap room goes from 4.95 million to 7.85 million.

Now we become players in free agency and use 6 million on Oj Mayo. Use the remaining 1.85 million onEric Maynor(This is the stretching it part). BUT.. when we sent the #45 pick out I believe we picked up a little extra cap space for the hold on that pick. We could tack this on to Maynors 1.85 million to make sure we get him. Then with the mini exception we have, use it to sign Dejuan Blair. (about 2.6 million).
