I am posing a question to everyone. What would the cap hit be for taking on Asik? His current contract only pays him roughly 5 million in the first two years and 15 million in the third(25 million in total). However, Houston's cap hold for him is around 8.4 million per year. I believe that we would pay the price of what his contract is but I am unsure on this.

Also, I do not believe that Asik will be traded for by us because Olshey wants to make a trade at the draft (that way he can use the #10 pick). DH doesn't have to make a decision until free agency which is after the draft.
