Robin Lopez Injury: Blazers Center Breaks Hand on Rebound vs. San Antonio Spurs

Lopez suffered the injury while attempting a rebound in Monday's game against San Antonio.

UPDATE:Robin Lopez announced on Twitter that he's out 6-7 weeks.

His official injury is a fracture of the 3rd and 4th Metacarpals.

波特兰Trail Blazers announced tonight that starting Center Robin Lopez broke his hand while attempting a rebound in the third quarter ofPortland's 108-95 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Coach Terry Stotts stated that Lopez is expected to be out "a while". Lopez said there is no timetable for his return, and is concerned he broke his hand in two places.

The Oregonian's Joe Freeman reports that Lopez will have further medical testing Tuesday morning.

In postgame interviews with the Blazers'Casey Holdahl, LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard lamented the loss of Lopez. Aldridge said, "I don't like it, I don't like it, I don't like it. I can't get past that I don't like it". Lillard added, "I don't even want to have to think about playing without RoLo".

In his absence, backup big men Joel Freeland and Thomas Robinson covered for Lopez' minutes. There is no word on who will start in his absence.
