Al-Farouq Aminu(hamstring) may not be ready for thePortland Trail Blazers' season opener against theNew Orleans Pelicanson Wednesday. He has been sidelined since October 18, and conveyed his disappointment this morning that a seemingly minor injury has hampered him for such an extended period of time. He did not participate in practice.
Aminu said he was "devastated" that the fluke injury could keep him out opening night.

Moe Harkless(ankle) did not practice either, though, on Sunday, he did state that he will be ready to play in the season opener. He has been resting his sprained ankle since sustaining the injury in the Blazers' preseason finale on October 22.

If Aminu is indeed unable to play when the season arrives, Harkless andAllen Crabbewill be next in line to start at small forward. With Gerald Henderson (hip) still recovering from surgery, the Blazers are thin at the wing as it is.
