At the Moda Center in Portland Saturday night, the Portland Trail Blazers took care of business, beating Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Blazers jumped out to a lead in the first quarter, ending with a double digit advantage. In the second half, the Lakers did their best to make a run, as Bryant tried to shoot his way back into the game. However, the Blazers easily fended off each challenge, and Portland pulled away late for the expected victory.
The Blazers were led by their sometimes-unstoppable back court of Damian Lillard (29 points) and CJ McCollum (28 points). Meyers Leonard scored 7 points with 6 rebounds and 2 assists off the bench in his return from a dislocated shoulder.
