Welcome to Rip City

Darkness looms over the city. Darkness of doubt and pain has reigned over the city for 37 years, while the city looks for their hero. A hero that can put the recent and distant memories of not chosing Micheal Jordan,Chris Paul, andKevin Durantbehind them. A hero that can put tragic fallen potential heroes like Bill Walton, Sam Bowie,Greg Oden,Brandon Roy, and now Wesley Mathews behind them. And a hero that can put '90 and '92 finals and '98 and '00 conference finals behind them. From the rubble of the scorched earth of the Jailblazers era, a new fruit is rising. Built from a batch of new gritty overlooked heros. Starting with the cornerstone The Destroyer, he can destroy darkness from inside and out, once chosen by Chicago then thrown away into the Rip City heap with fellow heros rejected by the city that chose then Léon the French assassin and fallen hero the Natural. Together the three heros brought hope back to Rip City before the darkness came and over took one of them. The movement continued to grow, Ironman the defensive specialist but offensive liability became the best three point scorer the city has ever witnessed. The Rock, in the past an injury plagued hero that has always been the the shadow of this twin brother. And in the wake of losing one of Rip City's best floor general, the Natural, a new floor general has emerged, Great Dame that can turn it into Dame Time in less than a second. Few background heros have arrived to make help make sure the new resurgance of light is not a fluke in Stevie Wonder, Mr. Wright, and Caveman Kaman. And recently a new hero candidate has arrived and is trying to find his role in this rag tag group of misfit and rejected heros. Rip City also has a group of cadets in the Brittish Bulldog, 3J, the Gee Thang, and Babyface, that if they can learn to work cohesively and gain some grit, they can become budding heros. This group does not thrive of the abilities that are just given to them. They immobilize their talents together as a "team" to defy critics, doubt, and the laws of limitations to breakthrough the darkness. If they chose to stick together, they only need one more thing. They don't need Superman, he has been given everything from birth. They need someone that knows his role in an group of superheroes "avenging" the darkness, one that has been a prisoner, one that has cheated death, one that has always overcome obsticles in his life but needs to overcome his most difficult one yet. One that can face adversity and shoot through the ashes and rubble much like Rip City has been yearning for. No they don't need Superman they just need Ironman.
