I was curious to see whatBrandon Royis doing now, so I searched Google news and really didn't see any mention of him except in passing and in connection to various knee injuries. What a way to be remembered.
That was rather disheartening to me since he was such an amazing player with so much drive that it was pretty unfathomable that he wouldn't have bounced back and made an effort to build something, either as a business man or in the arena of sports. So upon further digging I came across a Twitter feed ( @RoyTeam ), which turns out to be the account of Roy's AAU team in Seattle. Incidentally, they play like their namesake.
As a Blazer fan and one who distinctly remembers Roy's amazing days as a Blazer, and feels the absence of any inclusion of him with the team now, I'm wondering if any other B-Edgers have taken the time to actually go up and attend one of these AAU games and perhaps, let Brandon know that he's still very much on our minds and in our hearts as Blazers fans?
