接下来是什么?受限制自由球员的d Trade Possibilities

If OKC matches our Kanter offer, we'll be back to $28M of capspace burning a hole in our pockets (We have all season to spend it, but a slow burn, nonetheless).

Obviously, the front office already has a master plan written on a whiteboard somewhere, but since we're in the dark, let's try to guess what the next steps might be.

At this point, we're probably looking at acquiring either young guys with upside or veterans who can mentor and play emergency minutes. The way I see it, there are three ways we can fill our rosters and use the capspace:

1)Sign more Unrestricted Free Agents

There's not much left on the UFA market as far as young guys go. Anyone available probably wasn't welcomed back by their former team, and probably for a reason, but who knows. Maybe they were bad fits or poorly coached.

Here are the youngest UFAs I see on the market:

  • Austin Rivers
  • John Jenkins
  • 昆西Acy
  • Darius Morris
  • Glenn Robinson
  • Travis Wear
  • Greg Smith

(I'm not really familiar with any of these, except for Rivers, Jenkins and Robinson's dad)

There is also the possibility of signing some guys from our Summer League Team:

There are some guys with a little NBA experience:

  • Daniel Orton
  • Arnett Moultrie
  • Andre Dawkins

and some interesting Undrafted Free Agents:

  • Kenny Chery
  • Karl Cochran

As far as veteran mentors, there's probably 20+ Keith Bogans out there to choose from.

2)Sign Restricted Free Agents to an offer sheet, and then let us argue about it passionately in the comment threads about how it's the best/worst contract in NBA history.

Here are the young guys available:

  • KJ McDaniels (Hou)
  • Will Barton (Den)
  • Matthew Dellavedova (Cle)
  • Norris Cole (NO)
  • Kostas Papanikolau (Hou)
  • Jeff Withey (NO)

3)Acquire players from other teams who are looking to dump salary. There might be opportunities to get some young guys if they are packaged with some less desirable contracts. We might even be able to acquire some draft picks in the process. Teams that might be looking to cut salary and stay below the luxury line are OKC, Brooklyn, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, LAC, Golden State & Cleveland.

These are the possible targets I see from these teams:

  • Chicago: Doug McDermott
  • OKC: Perry Jones, DJ Augustin
  • Brooklyn: Bojan Bogdanovic, Sergey Karasev
  • Miami: Shabazz Napier, Zoran Dragic
  • Toronto: Terrence Ross

Who do you like? Who am I missing? What are you rooting for?
