Damian Lillard injures ankle against San Antonio and heads to the bench.

UPDATE (10:27 pm):Injury video is at the top. Lillard has a noticeable limp, and expects to get an X-Ray this evening. He left the arena in a walking boot.

However, he has no plans to skip a game unless absolutely necessary.

Damian Lillard sprained an ankle in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs at the Moda Center (video at top). With 7:22 left in the fourth quarter Lillard came down awkwardly on Dewayne Dedmon’s foot and rolled his left ankle. Coach Stotts called timeout as soon as he was permitted and Lillard got treatment on the sideline.

When play resumed, Lillard was back out on the floor but clearly in pain, favoring that ankle and unable to move at full speed. Two minutes later, Allen Crabbe came into the game and Lillard went to the bench.

The first word from Blazers coach Terry Stotts listed the injury as a sprained ankle.

We will update this page as more information becomes available.
