Toughts about the deal between Hawks, Jazz and Pacers

I saw it on Hang Time Blog (and here):

Wow. Big trade. Utah's 12th pick to Hawks, Jeff Teague to the Pacers and George Hill to the Jazz.

I'd like POR to get involved in some trade like that... And as said in many other posts and discussion here it seems that Draft Picks are more valuable now than ever. With the cap booming and free agents receiving big offers it's a MUST to have some rookies on cheap contracts to balance the roster.

的交易de was awesome and it seems to be good for all parties involved:

I'm a secondary Utah fan and I think Hill is great for them (I loved him at SAS and he's been the heart of the Pacers when George was out). Finally Utah is pushing for the upper eschelon with a proven point guard to shore the Favors-Gobert-Hayward big3. Giving up a pick is costly but Utah has some and also has many projects already so it's better to have a known quantity NOW than shoot in the dark or keep trying with Neto, Burks and Mack.

The Pacers get the "best" player in the trade, since Teague is no slouch and even was an all-star this very last season. It's well documented that Atlanta wanted to trade him to give the reins to Schroder, so they sold low (IMHO), giving up on George Hill which was really important for them. Maybe they'll lose some of their defensive identity or alter their schemes, but we all know Hill is not a "traditional" PG, and Teague is. Also Teague talent wise is probably better, so let's see.

And the Hawks, as said, shipped Teague finally and got a pick. It seems the reboot button is being pushed, and they gave up Teague to place Schrodder as starter, maybe a Korver trade is incoming, and Horford is not coming back? Good news for the Blazers, I guess... It seems Atlanta is on the same situation we were, Horford in place of LMA is not coming back and they want to blow up with the stabilished veterans to rebuild shortly. Hoefully they have someone in mind at the 12th spot already.

What do ya'll think?

Again: hope the Blazers can get into some of those cool trades that benefit all teams, or maybe even NeO pull a rabbit out of his hat. Let's see
