Pat Connaughtonlooked pretty good in summer league (not always indicative of things to come true). We have a log jam basically everywhere. Pat is ready for some minutes, can shoot, can get his own shot (not something Crabbe does much of), and is a terrific athlete.
Cool article on Pat's considerable upside:http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/pat-connaughton-44-inch-vertical-combine-near-record-notre-dame-orioles-pitcher-slam-dunk-051415
At some point we're going to have to trade some people to make space for players to get minutes. We need to make space in the front court too, so addingEd DavisorFestus Ezelishould be enough salary to bring backBrook Lopez(since theNetsneed to start rebuilding through the draft at some point). The Nets whiffed in free agency, and their outlook is bleak. Lopez is not the right age for them to start rebuilding the team around him, and this would give the Nets some more young talent and bring us a legit big man who'd be the only clear starter in the front court.
