Now that the seasons over, the draft talk is starting to pick up. Im a big draft fan, and have been following extremely close this year. These are the 3 guys at each draft spot who I would love for us to take given the chance. This is not a draft/offseason plan, just the guys I would like to see us get at the respective picks that we currently own.Note that these are just my own biased opinions, and I wouldn't recommend putting a whole lot of stock in them :)
#15- There are guys here with All-star level upside, we just need to find the right one. We don't need a home run with this pick, but we do need to get someone who we project to be a starter for us long term.
1. Zach Collins, PF/C-我really doubt he falls this far, but if he doesn't have a great combine showing its possible. Collins played great in limited time against mediocre competition, but really shined when given the opportunity in the NCAA Tournament. He struggles with foul trouble, and has a lot to learn. However, he's already a good shooter (mid 70s% on FT, 46% 3pt on very small sample size). He would fit perfect next to Nurk with his ability to defend the rim and rebound, giving us two high level bigs to make up for the deficiencies that come with having Dame and CJ on the defensive end. Also has stretch 4/5 potential, and gives us a guy who can move to the 5 and keep our defense anchored when Nurk is not in the game.

2. John Collins PF/C-Must be something about guys named Collins this year. John Collins might be the most interesting player in the draft to me. Not that he will be the best player in the draft (he won't), but I just can't understand what people don't see in him. He played in the ACC on a mid level team, playing the best possible competition. He played only about 26 minutes a game, but still managed to average almost 20 and 10. Great athlete.Best rebounder in college basketball this season (watch the man box out).Defensive awareness and foul trouble are both problems, but nothing he can't overcome. Average over 1.5 blocks per game. Still under 20 years old. People knock him for a "lack of shooting". He's a good shooter. Just watch the tape. Clean release, good mid range and free throw numbers. His game reminds me of LMA on offense, can become a black hole at times but also scores at will and can get your team caught up in a hurry. He might be the one guy Im overhyping a lot (unless its this next guy), but I see so much potential here. The only reason I rank Zach ahead of him is because he is a better defender, and thats a better fit for McLillard. To me, John Collins worst case scenario is still pretty good- a guy who can come off the bench and get rebounds while playing hard in the paint. His best is a 25-12-2 type of guy, which I don't even see as a super unlikely scenario.

3. Donovan Mitchell, SG-我love this dude. Great on ball defender. Solid shooting stroke (not great efficiency-yet), and definitely a microwave type of scorer. Next-level athlete. He has his issues- handle is subpar, undersized, loses focus at times off-ball. But I see him as an Avery Bradley on defense, with a better offensive game. Heres the issue though. We already have a bunch of talented guys at the 1-2 spot, so Im not sure where he would find play time.

#20.This is where we take a risk on a guy with crazy upside. Swing for the fences.
1. Hamidou Diallo, SG/SF-草案中最年轻的一个人,自然s strings attached. We've never seen him play in college, but Im hoping to get a better feel for his game during the combine 5 on 5s. From what Ive seen of his high school tape, he's an elite athlete with good finishing ability, as well as a good defender with immeasurable potential on that side of the ball. I see him as an Iman Shumpert type of guy right away, while hopefully becoming a lot more that that eventually.
Ratings: Floor: 4/10, Ceiling 8/10, Fit 6/10
2.OG Anunoby, SF/PF-我think his reputation is pretty well known around here, but to summarize in case you've been off the grid for a while : OG is a defensive stopper with a rumored 7-6 wingspan. He has some questions shooting the ball, but his form isn't broken. Most importantly, he is coming off a knee surgery. Contingent on his knee being medically cleared, and us moving either Aminu or Harkless (or planning to move them before trade deadline), OG is a guy I would like to see us pick up.
Ratings: Floor 5.5/10, Ceiling 7.5/10, Fit 4/10 (unless we move Harkless/Chief)
3. Harry Giles, PF-This guy is in the most extreme risk reward category of pick that Ive ever seen. Not long ago, he was seen as the consensus #1 and a generational level player. An unfortunate amount of knee surgeries later, he might slip out of the 1st round. His upside is worth it, but I would only be happy with this pick if we did it a certain way (again, contingent on passing medicals). If we got Giles, I would hope we let him take one full season to work on his flexibility and strength, as well as the fundamentals of his game. The following year (2019), he comes back to playing, but with an Embiid type plan. No back to backs, under 20mpg. Keep his knees safe and let him get back to where he once was. This pick is for the long haul, but if it pans out, it could be the start of a dynasty.

#26.This pick depends on who we draft above. The guy Im looking for in this slot is someone with role player abilities and the potential to be something more down the road. I'll keep these brief since no one is still reading this.
1. Caleb Swanigan, C/PF-Great rebounder, good passer, solid shooter, fantastic work ethic. Defensive issues with quickness, and somewhat still overweight. If he can get himself into great athletic shape, he could maybe be a poor mans Paul Millsap.
Ratings: Floor 6/10, Ceiling 7.5/10, Fit 8/10
2. Semi Ojeleye, SF/PF-Crazy athletic with a strong body. Hard worker, good shooter. Needs to improve defensively. Similar prospect to Miles Bridges in my eyes, a guy lots of people on BE like before he pulled out. He is 23, so a bit older that the rest of the guys on my list.
Ratings: Floor 5.5/10, Ceiling 8/10, Fit 6.5/10
3. Jonathan Jeanne, (France)-我听人们说他是下一个鲁迪Gobert。我don't think this is true. However, at 7'2 with good speed and surprising agility, he has a role in the NBA. I'd like to see him play the 3/ stretch 4 role. He is fast enough. Definitely needs to put on muscle though. I view him similarly to Johnathan Isaac in the way I would use him. SO MUCH UPSIDE
