UPDATE:Sam Amick of USA Today checked in with Portland and indicated that there was “No traction there” in aFacebook Live video.
League sources informJabari Young of San Antonio Express-Newsthat thePortland Trail Blazershave not ruled out a reunion with All-Star forwardLaMarcus Aldridge, who theSpursare said to be shopping. Portland could attempt to bring the polarizing big man back with a combination of first-round draft picks and current players.
A league source told the Express-News that Portland Trail Blazers would execute a trade for Aldridge to reunite him with star Damian Lillard. Aldridge, who played nine seasons in Portland, but left the Blazers in 2015 to sign with the Spurs. The Blazers haven’t closed the door completely on a possible return. The team would be willing to complete a trade for Aldridge for matching salary only, according to a league source.
The Blazers do have three first-round picks in the draft, starting with the No. 15 selection, as well as No. 20 and 26.
The Spurs interest in moving Aldridge would likely depend on how much salary they can free up in pursuit of a marquee free agent.
If Portland were inclined to bring Aldridge back, he would be the second, or possibly third, scoring option behind point guard Damian Lillard and shooting guardCJ McCollum, who has flourished since the initial Aldridge-focused setup dissolved in 2015.
Jason Quick of CSN NW shared his distaste for the issues that accompany Aldridge, but McCollum appears willing to bury the hatchet:

The notion of a reunion is, at least, intriguing.
