Luis Montero Signs Two-Way Contract With Detroit Pistons

The former Blazer played Summer League ball for the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings before agreeing to a deal with the Pistons.

FormerPortland Trail BlazerLuis Montero is signing a two-way contract with theDetroit Pistons, according to Jorge Sierra of HoopsHype.

Montero, now 24, played for the Trail Blazers during the 2015-16 season, totaling 42 minutes of action through 12 games. He was waived by the team in October, promptly signed by theMiami Heatfor training camp, and waived again four days later.

This year, Montero played Summer League ball for theDallas Mavericksin Orlando and the骶骨mento Kingsin Las Vegas, averaging 8.2 points and 4.4 points, respectively.

Player’s on two-way contracts can spend up to 45 days with the team that signed them; the rest of their time under contract must be spent in the G-League.
