Now that we’ve spelled out the most-honored Blazers in history, who is the best Trail Blazer who HASN’T been an All-Star?

I have a hard time choosing, but if pressed I’ll pick Arvydas Sabonis. Even though the Hall-of-Famer was past his prime when he joined the Blazers, he still had an impact whenever he stepped on the court. He did get selected to play in the Rookie All-Star game but I would have loved to have seen him selected as a true All-Star.

Simply standing near the basket, he changed the shape of a defense, and with the ball in his hand he became a lumbering-yet-deadly offensive threat. Career averages of 12 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists don’t scream All-Star, but his impact on the game and his effect on the team were significant enough that he would have gotten my vote.
