Portland Trail BlazersPresident of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him in the fold through 2021. The report comes from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Olshey has served as General Manager and President of Basketball Operations in Portland since June of 2012. During his tenure the Blazers have posted a 223-187 regular season record, making four playoffs appearances in five years.

Update:

Wojnarowski’s article for ESPNadds more detail:

The Blazers plan to exercise the two option years on Olshey's current contract -- guaranteeing his deal for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons -- and the sides negotiated an additional year extension through the 2020-21 season, league sources said.

The Atlanta Hawks were denied permission to speak to Olshey in the spring about the franchise's vacant GM job, league sources said.
