Here are some trade ideas I had this morning for our good ol’ Blazers. Let me know your thoughts and if you have any trade ideas yourselves! These are are all difference maker moves, not minor moves, so these would be hard to pull off in some cases.

This would be a trade before or after we also move Nurkic...but the point with this trade is to upgrade our Center and SF positions. Pistons get an upgrade over Jackson and a more complimentary star next to Griffin. Suns do this to fix their Guard situation.

Maybe in a deal like Nurkic+Harkless+2019 pick for Kevin Love?

Dallas is rumored to want to

off load Dennis Smith Jr. it obviously they will want something back. Layman+Simons gives them an athletic young 3 point shooter that will remind them of the good times with Chandler Parsons and give them yet another promising young player in Simons. Meanwhile, Portland gets a backup PG and possible 6th man in DS jr.

New look team:

Dame-Sauce-Jackson-Love-Drummond

Bench: Dennis Smith Jr, Turner, Aminu, Collins, Meyers, Gary Trent jr, Swanigan, Baldwin

Is this team better? I think it would be much better Defensively and the addition of Kevin Love as our 2nd scorer and Drummond inside give the blazers a great mix of inside our scoring to pair with Dame. We may even find more success starting Turner at the 2 next to Lillard giving us a real punch of shooting off the bench with Nik, Meyers and Collins. I think this team could make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs in the west, which is a big step up from where they are now.
