Report: Troy Williams Picked Knicks over Trail Blazers for 10-Day Contract

While thePortland Trail Blazersare set to signBrandon Rushto a10-day contract, it appears he wasn’t the only target the Blazers had.Adam Zagoria of SportsNet New Yorkhas learned through the uncle ofTroy Williams, recently signed a 10-day contract with theNew York Knicks, Portland had offered the forward as well:

FormerHouston Rocketssmall forward Troy Williams has agreed to a 10-day contract with the Knicks on Monday night and is expected to join the team Wednesday, legendary AAU coach Boo Williams, Troy’s uncle, told SNY.tv.

”Yeah, he agreed to a 10-day with them,” Boo Williams said by phone. “He had four other offers [including Portland and Dallas] but he wanted to go to New York.”

The 6-foot-7 Williams was cut by the Houston Rockets after only appearing in four games with the team this season. He appeared in 30 total games last season with the Rockets and孟菲斯灰熊.
