This season will most definitely be an interesting one. With lots of expectations where will the Blazers be at the end of the NBA Season?
The Western conference is as good as ever. They have eight out of ten mvp candidates from last NBA season. Not only that but the all NBA first team from last season belongs to the west.
Its safe to say the Blazers won't be even close to winning a title this year. Not with the revamped showtime Lakers and the addition of Demarcus Cousins to Golden State. But how far will they advance in the playoffs or will they even make the playoffs this year?
Portland should safely be the eighth seed this year. With Damian Lillard coming off a first team all NBA selection. We can only hope to see him build on that. Our bench unit has gained some good pieces as well. With the addition of Seth Curry. Lillard and McCollum can get more time to rest. Gary Payton II won't play a lot this year but will hopefully be able to provide some of the nasty defense his dad offered.
CJ is a good addition to this team. Yet we need more than a third option. Even if Lillard plays like he has double hot rings in a game of NBA 2k. We need a third option preferably a big man who can play defense.
Nurkic is good but not great. And right now we need all the greatness we can get.
