Game 6, RCRKM Style

I was fortunate enough to attend game 6. What a night! We arrived at the Center of Moda at about 6:15, slammed a brew in the parking garage (I prefer to prime my systems with non 11 dollar brews) and proceeded towards the arena.295202077065201.0.jpg

We strolled around outside for a little bit and took in the sights and the sounds. There was a stage set up in front of the arena and some local musicians were shredding it up.295202122009201.0.jpg

Then it was time to head inside. We strolled around inside the arena for a bit, then headed up to the 300 level to snap a pic from up high where the diehards reside.295202150251201.0.jpgAfter spending a little more time just strolling and soaking up the atmosphere, we grabbed a couple adult beverages each and made our way to our seats.295150459160201.0.jpgWe couldn't have had better company around us. People of all different walks of life and cultures...all united for the same reason- to cheer their hearts out and will ours boys to victory. We had a good time getting to know our seat neighbors for a few minutes and then it was time for business.295203377184201.0.jpgThe first quarter was nerve racking. Our boys were playing hard, but shots weren't falling and Denver seemed poised to end our season. At the end of the first quarter I had already downed my first two bevs so I headed for the Hop Valley stand for refills. Lines were crazy so this took a minute...but I could hear good things happening. Finally got back to my seat with about 6 minutes left in the second quarter and a scoreboard that showed a deficit of only two. From that point on, it was pretty much all BLAZERS.

Wife and I are generally perfectly content to watch games at home. We're not super social creatures. But attending a playoff game has been on my bucket list for some time and I'm thrilled to have checked it off. The fact that we dunked those nuggets square in the sweet and sours just capped it all off. I've never screamed and yelled so much in my life, wife either. She was clapping and cheering so hard she cut her hand at some point...295202306071201.0.jpgI wish we could be there in Denver on sunday. I gotta feeling it's gonna be a fight for the ages. Glad I could share my night with y'all!!! (Thank you for asking me to do this TS1, you are the MAN brother!)
