Who says no?

Minnesota has to build a contender around KAT. He is 23 years old and the franchise cornerstone. He is going on the books on a 5 year extension starting next season. They need to build support around him.

They have Wiggins locked up. He looks like a guy that will cost more than he is worth.

They are clear of Taj Gibson's $14 million and can plug Saric at PF. They have another year of Teague at PG at $19 million that comes off the books.

They have Covington locked up on a good deal. They have Dieng for 2 full years after this one at $15MM per to back up Towns. They have Okogie as a promising wing prospect on the cheap.

They have the 11 pick in this draft and probably should be tanking since they have Wiggins and Towns locked up long term.

I propose that the Blazers send them Turner at $18.6, Meyers at 11.3 million for Covington at $11.3 and Dieng at $16.2 million.

They get major cap relief after next season as Teague, Turner and Meyers come off the books. They also tank the season for another lottery pick. The Blazers get the best player in the deal and a solid backup at center and PF in Dieng. They shore up their wing position in a big way. They also get about $2.5 million in lower cap amounts.

This also opens the door to resign Aminu and move either him or Harkless to shore up others positions around a core of Lillard, McCollum, Covington, Nurkic and Collins. Dieng and Covington are in the right age range for those guys. It certainly has some risk but real upside in my mind.

I think this is a fair deal that doesn't require exchanging draft picks but I would be willing to put in a future lottery protected first rounder to close this deal.

What do you think?
