Last season, thePortland Trail Blazershad to perform a delicate dance with摩西布朗andJaylen Hoard, as both were under two-way contracts and limited to 45 days in the NBA. This year, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports, no such limit will exist, but teams must limit their two-way players to 50 games over the season.

As theTrail Blazersdon’t have their own G League affiliate, managing two-way players has always proven to be a bit of a challenge for the team. Hoard and Brown each served stints with the Texas Legends, who are affiliated with theDallas Mavericks, in between their shifts with the Trail Blazers. Compared to the 45-day limit, a 50-game stint is generous, and it will help minimize the potential spread of coronavirus by keeping players with one team for longer than they would have under the previous system for two-way players.
