Center Andre Drummond is set to join theLakerson a free-agent deal. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Drummond will land with Los Angeles once he clears waivers from theCleveland Cavaliers.

Prior to exiting the Cavs lineup in advance of the trade deadline, Drummond was averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. Now with the Lakers, the former Pistons star will bolster coach Frank Vogel’s frontcourt rotation as the team prepares its title defense.
Elsewhere, the Bucks have emerged as frontrunners to land recently-waived guard Austin Rivers. The Athletic’s Shams Charania delivered the news shortly after the Thunder parted ways with Rivers.
