The Oregon Historical Society is asking for people to give testimonials about Bill Schonely:

"…We invite anyone who would like to share their memories of Billor to thank him for his remarkable career and enduring place in Oregon history to do so through our online form, which we will then share with Bill."

可能有一百顾ys, maybe more, like me: in our 40s, brought around to sports fandom in large part because Schonz was just so much fun to listen to while he was making calls on the radio. I met him once when I was a kid, at an offseason event; it was forgettable for everyone but me.

I suspect, however, that some of you have no-kidding stories, or want to bring up specific games or calls, or have been dreading Schonely's retirement and have some pith stashed away for the occasion.
