'Don't Stop Believing' - Be Patient; DeRozan, Myles Turner, Kyle Lowry & ZC to brighten the day!

开场白:关于交易里沃德Damian from the Blazers... THERE IS NOT ONE TEAM who could give a juicy enough package to take him out of this town. Also, Lillard WATCHED LaMarcus Aldridge chase greener grass only to be disappointed in all of the factors then drift off out of the NBA spotlight with little fanfare. Sad for a player who so completely beloved in Portland prior to his departure. Legacy isn't just on championships. In the Halls of Glory, ring count is a big deal, but ring chasing doesn't guarantee you a ring anymore than playing 18 years for the same franchise. But 18 years for the same franchise earns something totally different. Regardless, Lillard knows what he is doing. And adding more great talent in any/every way is a plus.

DON'T STOP BELIEVING- Trade Season Part 1- Center Myles Turner

Lots of negative hype out in the interwebsOsphere with TONS of noise trying to force Damian to consider other options.. But why? when there is good cookin going on at home?

Thanks to theSalary Cap Primer story to help me remember the TPE Trade Player Exceptionsthat are available to Portland and ultimately help get the best deal done for Portland. Which is; enable a trade with Indiana for Myles Turner. Who is arguably a more aggressive offensive and defensive player than Nurkic, similar in age, and both productive.

Turner is an ideal candidate as his team drafted Jalen Smith, 6'10" Center out of Maryland in the lottery as their Center of the future last season, AND, he looked more than good as a rookie. Having a hold-0ver long-term starter like Myles Turner on the roster can make for the uncomfortable transition of lessening time from the vet to give more freedom to the future star. However, bringing in a new/different Vet to share time with changes that dynamic all together. Plus, ultimately Indiana would save money with a smaller contract, and Portland could add Nassir Little for Justin Nwora to give them more upside to the trade, and even 1 or 2 2nd round picks to juice the deal through. Indiana would still be competitive now while allowing more time for thier new stud to grow up faster.

Portland would have to use $3M+ of the TPE to make the Myles Turner for Jusuf Nurkic deal work, but it definitely could benefit both teams. Portland gets Myles Turner and Jordan Nwora for Nurkic + Nassir Little +TPE.

DON'T STOP BELIEVING - Trade Season Part 2 - Shooting Guard DeMarr DeRozan

Myles Turner would be a fresh change in the pivot. But is that one swap good enough to keep Dame believing? This second move is no secret to the participants here on Blazers Edge, that is Bulls Shooting Guard DeMarr DeRozan.

Lonzo Ball's injury status should push Chicago to make a handful of strategic moves to keep their ship going in the right direction. Moving on from their old veteran DeRozan would be a savvy move if the Bulls were to get an explosive scoring guard who is just 24 years old.

Just getting DeRozan for his twilight years would be magical, and probably just what the doctor order for Dame's confidence and Belief structure. Deal is 1 for 1 with pick considerations removed.

DON'T STOP BELIEVING - Trade Season Part 3 - Victor Webamyama makes Zach Collins move over...

The #1 pick out of the lottery was this 11-foot tall guy Victor Webby, and he is the future of everything. San Antonio might be interested in adding a pair of great young players who might be better roster additions than keeping Zach around to compete with Webby's minutes. I am seeing the Real GM Trade Checker approve Zach Collins for Keon Johnson & Trendon Wadford. If there ever was a PG that would make Popovich as excited as Tony Parker, it might be our Keon Johnson. I'm not gonna lie, I am in love with this prospect too (which is why I have confidence a trade like this would be valid), and both Keon and Wadford would fit ideal in what the Spurs are looking to do now and in the near future.

For Portland, Zach Collins would be a great roster consolidation move to bring in what Portland lacks the most, real size in the Post and post depth. Zach, in my opinion is ready for a breakout... and what better place than his original team to bring all his energy to our pivot. ZC for Keon + Wadford.

DON'T STOP BELIEVING - Free Agency - Steal Kyle Lowry for his vet league min

On going rumors out of Miami are that veteran Point Guard Kyle Lowry is likely to be Waived and Stretched. Getting Lowry's contract off the Miami books so they can go after other players they want. Portland, then, just happens to be in the market for a backup veteran Point Guard, sure Lillard and hyped rookie Scoot Henderson are on the roster and have priorities, but Lowry could be the ideal extra guard they need for regular season and the playoffs. Lowry has faded a little, so he will not be expecting to start, but minutes from Lowry would be solid.

Lowry and DeRozan were great teammates in Torono, and reconnecting them could ignite both their games. And, it gives portland that much more veteran on this otherwise youthful roster.

Portland resigns Jerami Grant in free agency.

Portland resigns Mattisse Thybulle in free agency, 3 years at $6M/yr.

Portland could still offer up to $4M/year (3yr) to keep center Drew Eubanks

Portland takes team option on Kevin Knox.

Damian Lillard / Scoot Henderson / Kyle Lowry

DeMarr德罗赞Shaedon夏普/约旦Nwora

Mattisse Thybulle / Kris Murray / Kevin Knox

Jerami Grant / Jabari Walker

Myles Turner / Zach Collins / Drew Eubanks

For a total of 14 roster spots. What say you Blazers Edge? Is this a team that Lillard and YOU could believe in?
