I certainly don’t know what it is, but maybe we are all over-estimating. His value is what other teams are willing to pay. I highly doubt Cronin is getting low-ball offers just because other GM’s think they can take advantage. He is 33, he requires $50M and more in coming years, plays only some defense, likes to ISO. He is absolutely still a fantastic roster addition, but likely Cronin will have to decide whether to keep him or take a little less??
