Both top-75 players with a lot of individual accomplishments but no rings (yet for Dame, of course but likely he never gets one as only 15 players a year win it all). Similar (based on age at the time) All-Star and All-NBA appearances. ROY for Dame but 1 scoring champ for Melo. Dame has more assists but Melo has more rebounds (PG vs Wing/Forward so to be expected).
TS% favors Melo at .447 v .439 which actually surprised me as Melo has been categorized as a chucker for so long but this tells a different story, at least based on this comparison with Dame who many refer to as an efficient assassin. Neither really ever played defense or tried on that end of the court.
