I had a good chat today with a retired Nike VP and asked him if Phil would ever buy the Blazers. His response was Phil has already attempted to purchase them twice, but that Jodie and the Vulcans are difficult (impossible) to deal with and that Phil may have given up on the idea. Recent publicity of Jodie being a bad owner was taken as a personal challenge and rather than selling, Jodie has taken this poor press to heart and Jodie wants to prove that she is a good owner.
