This probably means the rockets will give their MLE to KJ McD. Or it at least makes it more likely they would match an offer. Either way it seems like bad news for the home team, if you were hoping to get KJ McD on the cheap, like I was.

Why the Blazers were smart to start a rebuild....

+

As we look at Portland’s roster, there’s no reason to believe that it will even sniff a .500 record in 2015-16. That’s obviously not the goal of the front office right know. The team knew full well that the loss of LaMarcus Aldridge was going to set the Blazers back big time in the short term. By retaining Lillard on a long-term deal and adding a few solid young pieces, this team has its sights set for 2016-17 and beyond.

Moe Harkless embraces a new opportunity

+

The Blazers acquired Harkless from the Orlando Magic in exchange for a future conditional second round pick. The pick is a protected 2020 second round draft pick and will only be conveyed to the Magic if it falls in the final five picks of the draft, otherwise the Blazers will get Harkless for free.

Grantland talks Vonleh at SummerLeague

They seemed pretty impressed and show a bit of historical context. I liked the highlight reel. Vonleh's eurostep looks good and leverages his power to knock out the defender. Hard to not like what you see from him.
