Still sad. He's not in the league at the moment, but one wonders: What are the NBA's policies with regard to domestic violence?
Since apparently carriage returns are not included in fanshots, here are Blazers checking in: James Southerland, Training Camp Fodder: 470. Allen Crabbe, whose face is on a milk carton: 457. Elliot Williams, because ESPN forgot he was on the 76ers: 439. Victor Claver, the human victory cigar: 435. Joel Freeland, who likely got confused with Meyers Leonard: 404.
Casey Holdahl has a quick update on T-Rob's recovery from thumb surgery. According to Robinson, everything is progressing on schedule, and Robinson expects to be ready by the start of training camp.
It's Round-Up in Pendleton, I've already talked to lots of unlikely Blazer fans around town. Going to fly the red & black this weekend! Let'er Buck!
He's even in Blazer gear! This actually sounds pretty cool, as far as gimmick modes go. Each legend (and Curry) pick an ideal 5 man lineup that players can use online. Each legend also chose a charity. The more wins a team gets, the more donations the charity gets.
Despite his age, Brand has been pretty effective per 36 (10.7 points per-36 & 9.3 rebounds per-36). A great get for the Hawks. I'm interested to see where Jermaine goes now...
Grantland's Zach Lowe has posted the definitive NBA court design power rankings. The Blazers come in at #8. With a couple minor exceptions, I generally agree with most of his takes. One thing I would especially like to highlight is the use of theater lighting (very noticeable if you watch LAL/Knicks/Nets). I would really, really like the Blazers to implement this, since it focuses all attention on the court and really makes the game feel much more like a significant event.
训练营doesn't start until September 29th, but players have been gathering at the practice facility for informal workouts. Blazer basketball! Huzzah! Enjoy the photos.
