Damian Lillard on ESPN 1st Take!

Typical questions that ask why he took the decision in playing in five events and then it quickly steers into how people have been backing the Blazers at the national level and what his thoughts on if it was true. Good questions and Dame answers them well.

Lil Wayne Shouts out Trailblazers on ESPN First Take

6

Steven A Smith and Lil Wayne have a conversation about the "collision course" between Miami and OKC. When the question of who could possibly challenge OKC out West, instead of saying San Antonio or LAC, Wayne not only shouts out the Portland Trail Blazers, but Lamarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard specifically. Starting at 2:30 they talk for a bit on the subject, and Steven A goes CRAZY over Wayne saying the Trail Blazers. No one can believe him. He even says Lillard and Aldridge over CP3 and Griffin. Wow. Shouts to Lil Wayne! I appreciate him not backing down and actually explaining his point. He knows what's up.

Blazers P&R strategy hasn't been corrected

Watching the Clippers dismantle the Blazers last night, I can't help get back to their poor pick and roll defense. Why can't we make adjustments? Every time I watch the Clippers I can't help but wonder why they aren't better. The have incredible depth (outside of Ryan Hollins) and two superstars, how are they not better?

Meet the Blazers

"The Portland offense features a core group of performers who band together to produce a unified value worth far more than the sum of their individual parts. The Blazers remain one of the only teams left in the league to feature five starting players who clearly fit the old Wooden taxonomy of basketball positions. As a result, the team plays with a seamless flow and intelligent spacing. They consistently create shots for one another, in turn making each other look and play better. The five starters blend together to create perhaps the most balanced offensive attack in the NBA."
