Check out RealGM and vote on their poll on Portland's next General Manager.
Adam Morrison has signed a one-year contract with Red Star Belgrade, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein. Morrison was the third overall pick of the 2006 NBA Draft. The contract does not include an opt-out clause, so AAM will be in Serbia for the year. Via RealGM and Marc Stein at ESPN
I have a lot of free time, rather, I create a lot of free time, to peruse various sports websites, particularly ones regarding the NBA and my Blazers. I frequent Blazersedge because it is the best place for Blazers news, and I also frequent Yahoo! because it's free (unlike ESPN) and provides nice little back stories when there isn't any "big" news. However, the commenters drive me nuts! Just look at some of the stuff these people posted on this article, and this is only one example! I post this because I was wondering if any of you share my frustrations.....
Riddle me this: what happens when Tony Parker and Joakim Noah sit out a game against the best team in the tournament? Total, unbridled, butt-kickery, that's what. I was really looking forward to this game, but had to work. Thank goodness for that. I'll try to stay tuned into the reasons for Parker and Noah's absence. If you know why, please comment.
Just a reminder that Batum is not the only Blazers SF seeing significant time (i.e., unlike Claver) in a big tournament right now...
There's a decent chance you've seen this already because it has been absolutely everywhere. But in case you missed it,Henry AbbottofTrueHoop.comprovided some insighton each of the NBA's 30 owners and whether they were "hawks" or "doves" when it comes to the ongoing labor negotiations. Here's what the Blogfather has to say about Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen. ----------------------- HAWK: Allen's team regularly sells out games, has tremendous local TV ratings, and now even has largely reasonable salaries, but is a persistent money-loser. Like Cuban in Dallas, Allen would like to spend whatever it takes to win, but would like that amount to keep him from broad financial pain. The Blazers may benefit from revenue sharing, if nothing else because a lot of the competition -- the Lakers, Rockets, Spurs and Thunder -- would likely be payers. ----------------------- You'll remember that Allen wasan outspoken proponentof revenue sharing and equaling the playing field between large market and small market teams in his autobiography,Idea Man早在4月就发布了。——本Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com |Twitter
