Peter Vecseyof theNew York Post writesthat Minnesota Timberwolves president David Kahn met with Duke University coach Mike Krzyzewski to discuss the possibility of drafting guard Nolan Smith, who went to the Portland Trail Blazers at No. 21. ---------------------------- A meeting did take place between the two. Topic of discussion: Blue Devil draftees Kyrie Irving and Nolan Smith. Minnesota owned the No. 2 overall pick and it was possible Irving might drop down a rung had the Cavaliers tabbed Derrick Williams.
