Maybe I missed this somewhere else but apparently Batum has been battling a foot injury and is getting an MRI and might miss time.
Rolo takes us to one of his favorite hangouts: "When I first heard I was coming to Portland, I was excited. The town kinda fits me like a glove. I'm eccentric, it's eccentric . . . and this is one of my favorite places to be a little eccentric."
Might be pointing out the obvious here. But check out LMA's monthly stats and compare to his season averages of years past. His November output of nearly 22/10 was already better than any full season he has had, and each month he has gotten better and better. In January he is averaging a ridiculous 27.4 point and 13.1 boards per night, and this while every team knows what's coming every night. He's not flashy, but so much respect for what he's doing this season.

Not many good things can be said about the Lackers this season. The wheels have pretty much come off entirely. Gasol and a cast of washed up, constantly injured former all stars plus their cheesy third string replacements... that is just a stagnant, boring, uninspired team right now. They used to be a proud franchise. Does anyone think Kobe really has anything left in the tank? Or Nash? That is a team that is going to get worse before it gets better. They are out of the playoff picture for the foreseeable future. Tanking won't help them, either. Not even the # 1 pick would save them from long-term mediocrity.
From LA's Twitter. When Dame dunked it JJ's face is priceless.
There just aren't a whole lot of ways to get a quality frontcourt player for us. Maybe this is one?
