Blazers to roll out "New Team, New Dream" marketing campaign

9

The new marketing camping will be digital-rich and web-heavy, with less money spent on TV, radio, print and billboard advertising. One of the highlights will be a free iPhone app (with future plans for Android) that will provide a live scoreboard and stats during the games, text play-by-play, plus Facebook and video features.

My Fanpost on Welcome To Loud City

3

I entered a Fanpost on the Oklahoma City SB Nation site. After a lengthy introduction of myself as a Blazer fan and how jealous and annoyed I am of them and their team's success I go over the question of James Harden. I present them with the scenario that a trade is happening over othe options with Harden and present numerous possibilities on trades that could happen with a poll to see what they believe is most likely to happen. Hopefully this creates an interesting dialog between our fan bases. Check it out and drop a comment if you wish!

LA Times: Crawford has never practiced in the offseason

WADA: NBA Drug Testing Insuffient, Ignores HGH

4

After strongly rebuilding testing for cyclists, the World Anti-Doping Agency has set its sights on the NBA, accusing it of having 'gaps' in its drug testing. Amongst the biggest: A lack of testing for Human Growth Hormone, something that the NBA has banned, but says they don't believe it would help performance. the WADA disagrees. I'd very much like to see HGH tested for in the NBA. There are still ways to hide from drug testing, but making it harder to hide is a good thing.

Lawyers of the lock-out

4

It turns out one law firm is representing the owners in the lockouts of the NBA, NHL and NFL. One more interesting tidbit, both David Stern and the Comissioner of the the NHL are past employees of that same law firm. Next time there is a lock-out just know that the fans are being played against there own and the players interests.

This minny highlight is scary...

Epic LeBron Comic

1

Okay, okay, hear me out: yes, it's a Marvel comic about LeBron, but it's actually rather clever in places (such as when Russell Westbrook designs a bionic arm and uses it to jack up 72 shots per game). Give it a chance.
